Legally I believe they are not allowed to confiscate water if they do not have a water fountain. But the bottle would obviously have to be completely sealed or they wont let you in with it.

it appears you're making something stupid into a big issue. does water taste better out of your gay metal container?

drink water from a fucking cup.

This is not a stupid question and I brought it up here before. Drinking lots of water during the Fest is especially important for me running around shooting the bands. I have had mine taken away at the Fest before. But that was at the Venue. Not sure what the policy is for other venues. i plan on bringing a bottle and if they don't let me take it in i will pour it out and refill once inside.

calm down sawtooth! if i can bring my own reusable bottle, cool, if not, that's ok too, i'd just rather find out before hand so they don't take it away or make me run back to my car to put it away. as long as they'll have something around so my wife won't pass out. i'm not gonna waste my money on bottled water.

I'm just bringing a plastic throw away one that i will have clipped to my jeans with a water bottle coozie on it. That way they can easily see it is empty or be easily made empty. I don't have time to screw around at the Fest.

i flew a helicopter strapped with barrels of clean drinking water over the most drought-addled village in africa before flying it back to north america where i boiled the water over an open flame and had a series of wonderful baths.

I went to this festival in France where they had the typical yellow-shirt Security service deal, and they would remove and confiscate the CAPS to any water bottles upon entry. This, apparently, was the result of people using them as projectiles during soccer matches. Pretty annoying, when you get right down to it, though, on the other hand, they did let everybody smoke hash openly. Then again, maybe that was part of the plan, too... slow everybody down so they can't throw their dangerous plastic water-bottle projectiles as effectively.

i bet if you bring an EMPTY water bottle you can fill it up in the bathroom. i think they're more concerned with sneaking alcohol in..

yeah, but some (like the Venue) suck harder than others and charge $2 for a cup whereas Common Grounds charges $1 for a nice, cold bottle.
