went solo last year. I got a ride with kids i did not know (although I became buddies with one!) and I was alone pretty much the whole time. I met a lot of nice kids.

I'm just getting kind of nervous because I'm usually pretty anti-social so i have this fear that I'm not gonna meet anybody and just sit around drinking pbr and whiskey by myself.

i'll probably be Festing Solo because all of my friends that are into this type of thing are poor and irresponsible... sucks cause i'm pretty shy. Hard to just walk up to random ass people and start talking.

me too! sounds like a perfect Fest friendship. we can get drunk together and make new friends!

I will be plenty wasted when I aim for the Century club.

I was festing solo last year, but basicly was never much alone - met too many Fest boarders and hung out a lot with the wihelm guys...

looks like this year I fly over alone again, but probably met up with some slowenian guys in orlando, a german buddy is coming to he Fest with givin chase, a couple more germans contacted me due to my review from last year, the wilhelm guys will be there again plus the Fest boarders I met last year.. I don't really considering me festing solo...

I wasn't sure what to expect coming alone last year, but that was the great thing about the Fest, met so fast so many people and ran into them the whole weekend again

I will be festing solo most likely. Kind of glad to see that I'm not the only one... Though I do seem to be the only girl who is (probably not, just seems as such).

I went with a friend last year, but probably only hung out with him a third of the time.

I went solo but it wasn't a problem since I met quite a few random people. If I go this time around, I'll most likely be going there solo and I'm definitely willing to meet anybody else. I found out that a lot of people are just waiting for someone to talk to them first and once someone makes the first move, it's mostly smooth sailing from there.

i didnt figure that out till my junior year of college!! people generally WANT to talk. just gotta smash the ice...

I'm festing solo now as my friend decided to save money for school instead AND I'm a girl so you aren't the only one.
I'm usually shy but my summer job has knocked that outta me so I will be ready to hang out and chat!

all these solo festers are making me feel a lot better. Shows are the only places where i ever meet people anymore, so my anxiety is starting to subside. i'm getting more and more stoked for the Fest.

The music starts around 5ish on Friday, right? If that's the case, we should schedule the solo fester meetup at a bar around 3:30 or 4 after everyone's all good 'n' registered.
