http://www.thefestfl.com/fest8/news/Hello Fest NERDS!!! So, we have some really exciting new additions to the Fest 8 lineup! Added to the already impressive line up will we have already built will be: Light Yourself on Fire, Vicious Cycle, Guiltmaker, Arms Aloft, The Knockdown, Forensics, Defiance Ohio, Carpenter, Worry Ship, Cutting Class, Hawks & Doves, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, Iron Lung, Coalesce, Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves, King Friday, Drag the River, Joe McMahon (Smoke or Fire), Matt Kurz One, Fin Fang Foom, Shark Pants, Todd Congelliere, The Textbook Committee (Guided By Voices Tribute Band), The Methadones, WILD ASSumptions, Dukes of Hillsborough, American Steel, Joey Cape, Jon Snodgrass, Chad Price and a special reunion from No Idea alumni Gunmoll and Gainesville visionaries Hair Beard Combo!!! I’m really excited how things are turning out for this year. I have been working out some of the schedule and we have been plowing through the massive stacks of applied bands. Applications must be post marked by August 1st so get them in fools! In other news it seems as though the Holiday Inn is filling up with the quickness. Looks like it is about 75% full so if you are looking to get a room please visit the tickets page to purchase your room!!! You can still get rooms at the Paramount as well. Fest 8 tickets are still available on our tickets page as well here. If you are interested in vending at the official Fest 8 FLEA MARKET go here for more information. If you would like to be reminded of updates to the site and Fest news please be our friends at Myspace and now Facebook as well as Twitter updates. Schedule is a pain in the ass each year so be patient and I will try my best to at least get down who is playing on what day before summer is over. If you have applied hold tight and we will let you know by Sept 1st. Please do not email, text, call, myspace, or telegram us about this. The more time it takes to check these messages the less time we have to plot and plan. If you want to help us spread the word of Fest 8 we can send you flyers and posters once we get them made. Please email your contact information, address, and how many items you would need to streetteam@thefestfl.com (Note* if you sent an email to this address prior to July 21st you should email it again. We had a computer die on us and lost lots of emails!) Thanks and I hope this little update gets you all even more excited about Halloween weekend!!! -Tony Weinbender and the rest of the Fest 8 crew!

Whoa, some of those bands aren't on the Fest 8 site last i looked, or I somehow missed them! Namely:
The Knockdown
Joe McMahon (Smoke or Fire)
Worry Ship
Shark Pants
Joey Cape
And I'm REALLY curious as to what Hair Beard Combo is up to.
You guys are doing an really awesome job this year, I know it is a tough one!

Woooo! Totally stoked Arms Aloft is finally confirmed and equally stoked there are people here that want to see them.
We'll have the repress of the "Comfort At Any Cost" 7" on black vinyl with special tour / "Fest" covers (limited to 25), as well as the upcoming Arms Aloft / The Fake Boys split 7".. and a whole lot of fucking rad stuff as well.

Joey Cape sure is making an awful long trip just to play a solo date at the Fest and then head back home. He came through Florida recently, so I can't seem him kicking off another tour. Lagwagon on the other hand didn't make it to the South East on their most recent tour.
Just sayin
