This is my first Fest and me and my friends decided to go with the Holiday Inn Fest Hotel. Uhm so its 4 to a room? right? If you pick the doubles beds? It wasn't very clear and I know that sounds like a stupid question.

Either way I'm stoked to drink myself stupid in this place.

You get 4 wristbands per room(whether it's 2 double beds or 1 king bed).

Excellent! Thank you for clarifying. I didn't want to drive 17 hours to find out that only half of us were sleeping a night.

Shoulda gone with the Rush Lake. No wristbands and it's way cheaper. Only rich n00bs go to the holiday inn. Unpunx man... unpunx....

Eh I mean you only live once and we all figured we might as well go all out.

I think I paid 574 for 3 nights at the Holiday Inn. If you split the costs between four people, it comes out to about 140 per person(I don't find that overly expensive). And I'm a poor ass college grad. that makes very little money.

This is a tell tale sign of someone who's never been before. The only time you should be in your room, if you're Festing properly, is between the time your eyes close and open again. Why spend $13451123553 on a room that you're never going to be in? And don't say to be comfortable, because when you're drunk you can have the best sleep of your life on a bare floor. You guys gotta learn how to micromanage.

This is exactly my situation. I heard good things about the Holiday Inn but I appreciate the gesture. Maybe next year I'll do this differently. Regardless, I am very excited for the whole thing!

No it's not. We've been twice before and stayed way down SW13th, but decided this time we couldn't be arsed with carrying everything about all day and stuff, so have switched to the HI.

They have a truck outside Common Grounds now for that sort of thing. Which is way easier than walking back to any hotel. Holiday Inn included.

Used it last year, they're not that keen on getting your bag in and out repeatedly, it turns out. And even though it may not make total fiscal sense, somehow I resent paying $5 to put my bag in a U-haul even more than paying $millions to stay in the Holiday Inn.

I'm going to chalk this up to "It's a UK thing" haha

Ha, maybe. Who knows, maybe afterwards I'll come back on and admit defeat, that it was a total waste of cash, but I gotta tell you, right now I'm pretty excited about not seeing SW13th, and basically rolling out of bed into Mother's. We'll see!

I will most likely be parking my car downtown and biking most of the weekend. Snag me if you want to stash anything.
