This is a variation of an idea I'm stealing from Philip, from a thread he made back in the winter. Sorry Philip.
Since we all have a similar palate, but an undoubtedly varied knowledge in music, I think it would be incredible to literally share our favorite Fest 8 bands with one another before the big weekend!
This way, maybe some of us will get turned on to some seriously killer shit that we'd never thought of looking into before heading to Gainesville.

Here's the deal:

• Make a killer mix CD or tape of the bands playing Fest 8 that you are most looking forward to, that you think other people should know about, etc.
• Send me a private message with your address
• I will pick two addresses at random, or most likely pair them off as they come
• I will message each respective board member with the other person's address
• Scribble up some cool artwork, a message, or just leave the shit blank; seal it and send it to your new Fest pen-pal
• Wait like a giddy school-girl for your own special Fest 8 mix!

Rules: Keep it within the list of bands playing this year, because that's kind of the point. However, you should totally make an extra mix of whatever you want if you feel the urge.

Anybody is welcome to send me their address from here til late October and I'll most likely pair them up as they come. Awesome. Hope at least some of you are down!

Is there a deadline for this? Cause I'm already doing a mix trade on another message board that I'm really invested in and while I'd like to participate in this, I wont be able to for a little while.

i was very proud of that mix, especially if you listen to it in order. i can't make mixes because i've been using my dad's laptop while my comp's out of commission. i made a 3 cd mix for Fest 5. don't think i did one for Fest 4.
