Thursday, Mar 26 2009 - The Junkyard
TORCHE, Liquid Limbs, Diet Cokeheads, Dead Friends, (I was also told Jawsome is playing?)
This a normal show time show and not an after-hours type show. Bring $ for the bands.
I saw Diet Cokeheads last night w/Young Livers and they are amazing! I hope they really do play. Apparently they've played something like 5 days in a row and they weren't sure they could do it another night. fuck I just saw this =/ hope it was awesome Yeah, it was alright Rene had an awful time though. I've checked the last few pages but haven't seen anything, but is there any cool shows coming up this weekend, preferably April 2nd or 3rd? Or anything goin on around the city? I'm drivin up for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday just to get away from home and hang out with some people up there. so whats goin down??
Edit: I just checked gainesvillebands.com and it doesn't look like much is really happening. So whats the next best thing? Any bars that everyone hangs out at? What else is there to do.

if I was in town Friday I'd go to either Common Grounds or The Kickstand, Saturday I would hit up 1982 but that's because I'm an assassinate the scientist slut
I'll be back Sunday though and at The Atlantic since it's the last Young Livers show for a bit, although I do want to see The Besties at The Kickstand

And they are playing out some new songs already which are amazing. So be here: Apr 5 2009 @ Atlantic Coliseum, Young Livers, Liquid Limbs, Cutman PS - There might be another YL show before he leaves, check back here. More in the realm of a house show though. Oh and check here for Gville show listings: http://www.gainesvillebands.com/shows.asp

I will be in Gainesville for a little bit on early Friday afternoon, to buy ingredients to make a new batch of beer.
I will have my dog with me, if anyone wants to meet him!

Here's some info on the show Grabass and Whiskey are playing tomorrow night: We are playing a benefit show for our good friends son Finn. Finn is 2 1/2 years old and was born with autism. Because treatment for autism is considered by insurance companies to be experimental, private insurance in Florida does not cover autism treatment which can reach up to $250 an hour. The show will also promote awareness and raise funds for the Center For Autism and Related Disabilities at the University of Florida, an organization that helps with referrals, information and training and consultative services to families in Gainesville. This is a really good cause that is worth coming out for. Here is an article about it all from the Gainesville Sun: http://www.gainesville.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... ERTAINMENT

I think it's $5 for 21+ but you can donate more if you like. I hope lots of people make it out. He's a real sweet kid and this is a good cause.
