I've never seen the dwarves and think the Fest would be a good first time.
As far as the bosstones, i agree about growing out of ska but damn are they one great party band.

Am i the only one who wants to see the bosstones? The Dwarves really would be pointless for the Fest if they are still doing shows like when I saw them in the early 90s. The set didn't even last a minute before they destroyed everything in sight. Total hype/shock appeal live. But maybe they have changed? I suggest the The Jesus Lizard instead. I loved the Bosstones back then too, but have honestly no interest in seeing them now. I grew out of ska in like 1994. Though as I remember, they put on one hell of a live show! The Bosstones are one of my all time favorite bands, cause I used to be a total ska-kid in high school. I saw them recently on their first bout of reunion shows in Chicago, and I have to say that I remember them being a whole lot better live when I saw them back in like 99 and 2000...

read on punknews.org today a statement from ben weasel, they reformed recently and said they are only playing a few shows in 2009, 2 in the fall, which will be announced later
that says to me they're not a bad bet for Fest 8 weekend

1. i just read that they are in fact playing austin or something over the summer. it's tempting to go to that. if it was the original SW, i would do it in a second. but holy shit fuck yeah if they play the Fest. i will wait in that venue all day long to be in the front. i will suck ben weasel's dick.
2. i've never met anybody that doesn't like strung out. never. i will suck the collective dick of strung out. i could see them not being a good fit with the Fest and all, though.

Superchunk.
Their new EP is really awesome, short and sweet. Plus, they finally released the song from the ATHF Movie.
