Is it really a requirement to be a pompous know-it-all music snob in order to write for a music zine, label, online music forum, or other music entity??? I will NEVER "get" this nor do I want to. For the last paragraph of the HoH (pre?)review: Your sassy I'm-so-sarcastic closing isn't going to make you many friends. And you end up looking like a total dumbass after making in pretty clear you've never actually heard of some amazing bands by saying they have "ridiculously dumb band names". Way to be closed minded. You sound like you still live with you Mom. This is my reply to this: http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/148417-national-bss-girl-talk-do-harvest-of-hope-festival

I always have. Also, all the "ridiculously dumb" named bands are all the good ones. Haha. Ugh...I wanna go!

What a fucking loser. Pitchfork...and some others out there...are why we do NU...and why we decided to start doing the whole news thing along with it. Some people are just too cool.

that was actually one of the more even handed things I've heard on Pitchfork. And to be fair, Ninja Gun and Grabass Charlestons are pretty dumb names.
fuck Pitchfork's album reviews though. Worst excuse for journalism I've ever seen. They make David Foster Wallace look straight forward and to the point.

A) Fuck Snoop Dogg and all those other commercial dipshits with zero lyrical skills.
B) Langerado is way too much money, anyhow.
C) I fucking hate festivals at fairgrounds and shit. I fucking hate the list of rules on the website. I fucking hate the $10 "service fee" that ticketweb charges. This is all a bunch of bullshit that is the antithesis of punk rock.
D) Bad Brains and Girl Talk. I Guess I',m suckin it up and going.

Mackenzie, get my ticket, loan me a laptop with wifi, and I will blog it just like Spider Jerusalem, and usher in a brand new ago of Gonzo music journalism.

I've been lazy, but I've had the itch to write lately... I should crank out some crazy essays or something.
