Who knows...I hardly know you Philip. And I often think I've seen and heard everything. People that I do think I know well still surprise me all the time with their stupidity.
On the topic of relationships, this site rulz:

I like this one-
FW: FW: FW:
The only time we’re close anymore is when we end up next to each other on your sister’s mass forwards.

Oh man, someone could have posted this one for me:
So Wrong It's Right
You were so wrong for me. Tomboy. Opinionated. All them cats. But in the end, you were perfect.
Funny thing is I know exactly which Ex would have posted it too.

This is fucking brutal. Just ended everything with the girlfriend.
Long story short, I definitely appeared to be the psycho suspicious asshole but my fucking gut told me I was being lied to.
Found it out tonight she was covering up talking to another guy....I'll hand it to her that she probably didn't do anything with him but the fact that she purposely hid who he was (to a very fucked up degree) is enough for my schizo mind to never be able to trust her word again.
Trust is delicate people...don't fuck it up. Honesty has its consequences but at least your conscience is clear.
Have fun everybody...seclusion time for me. I fucking HATE my ability to call out a lie. I can smell that shit miles away.

Ouch, I'm sincerely sorry and feel your pain. Time for you to heal for sure.
I don't want to believe I can't trust anyone, I want t be hopeful. But eventually, everyone seems to flake out on me.
I'm brutally honest but still sensitive to the feelings of others. I don't see why honesty is such a hard thing. But I realize now that everyone has lived a different life and made them who they are. It seems it is just a matter of finding that "special someone" who is least fucked up.
As for "I fucking HATE my ability to call out a lie. I can smell that shit miles away." It is actually a gift and one I have as well now. It is better to find out sooner than months or years later. My Ex was a liar by heart and so it took me YEARS to figure out what all he was up to. But only days to figure out he was cheating on me.
Important things I've painfully learned:
- ALWAYS trust your gut, don't ignore it. But don't overreact either. Instead, cautiously do your research. THEN act on it.
- Also don't trust anyone who has a need for secrecy in their life about themselves. Especially when it pertains to the relationship you have with them. Whatever that may be. If they hide little things that shouldn't matter, they have issues you need to be aware of.
- There is a difference between being dishonest and having a bit of privacy in your life about some topics. You don't need to tell everyone EVERYTHING about yourself. Not all at once anyway. This is a delicate thing and is different for everyone. You sometimes set yourself up to untrustworthy people by disclosing your weaknesses.

yea mine is quite emo as well. dated my future wife when i was a senior and she was a freshman in high school. we were together for 4 yrs then married. stayed married for 7 yrs and had one child. so we were together for a total of 12yrs basically my whole adult life. i could tell if something was changing. she started spending a ton of time getting ready for work every morning and acting weird. i knew something was up and i installed a key logger on my comp and found her emails to him on christmas day. was pretty destructive to see the things she said to him. i had no trust issues before and i only snooped because of an increasing need to know wtf was going on. long story short she cheated on me for the last 2yrs of marriage with her boss at work. when we got together i told her that if she ever cheated it was over, but when it happened i tried everything to make it work instead for some weird reason. in the end she just lied to me more and used my trust against me. now im old and single for the first time in since i was 18 and its just weird. fuckit i can do what i want now tho
a few morals to this story- dont get married - trust your gut
im fucked up in the head now tho believe that

im fucked up in the head now tho believe that My story and feelings about all this are so similar to yours it is scary. In other words, I feel your pain. But yeah, you'll heal and become less fucked up in the head. It just takes time. There is a certain kind of person that preys on people that are good hearted like us, so beware of this in future relations. It has been like 7yrs since my shit went down for the last time with the Ex. And i still can't forgive him. People tell me I need to, to have inner peace. But he did unforgivable things. I'm hoping one day I'll finally forget about him.

i got into an overly long conversation about this type of stuff at the top last night. it totally ruined me for an hour...
not to dig into details again, but i dated a girl for 22 months who cheated on me and forgot my birthday.
it is kind of comforting that these kind of problems are little more common than one would think...

holy shit, i love my gf of over 7 years, but yo, being single can be a blessing too.
the last time i was single, like 5 years ago lol, my gf and i took a break. it was in the spring, and i was pretty bummed for a week or so, but then the weather was getting nice, chicks were wearing less and less clothes as it got warmer, and now all of a sudden it was summertime. best time to be single ever.
i literally could not scrub the stench of poon off me.
that being said, if you're lurking, i love you ms. tooth, i wouldn't trade you for anything.
