YES, I just saw them in Ft Lauderdale for the first time EVER. I've been listening to them for about 6-7 years and that's about the last time I think they even came down to South Florida. They put on such an amazing show its ridiculous, i've never seen a more energetic crowd in the thousands of shows i've been to.

definitly depends on the style of ska and as longs its no 2-tone or british styled ska - I'm fine... skapunk or likee relaxed rocksteady/ska bands are fine, also I don't necassarly need them at the Fest, cause for me its awesoem to see bands that don't come a lot to europe - and all the ska bands are here all the time..

I saw them once. I was pulled in by the promise of "Former Members of The Causey Way."

Also, Budweiser makes me feel like shit.
PBR was bought by Miller years ago and is currently about as DIY as a Big Mac.

I was under the impression 99% of beer and alcohol is owned by a major parent company. Very corporate, not so DIY.

You guys don't have homebrew punx?
I think Henry Fiat's Open Sore playing the Fest would be cool.

actually, the beer industry is a lot like the record industry. About 95% of the beer sales are done by major corporations, but 95% of individual breweries are small independent businesses, though they might be forced into distribution deals with their much larger rivals.

Yeah, that makes sense.

For the sake of keeping PBR afloat, Miller picked them up for distribution, correct? However, if I'm not mistaken, they still do their own thing in the same sense that some major label bands still keep "creative control." I know for a fact that PBR avoids major advertisement and don't play to certain crowds or "types" like other major beer companies. Maybe "DIY" was a bad choice of words, but they're damn close.
