Andy One night I recorded you on my phone, next time I see you I'll play it to you haha. The "my mum used to ask me, do you want sausages or bacon?, so id say.. cant i have both?!" was a favourite for me, it just came out of nowhere ! That thing got so many plays the following few days, all followed by raging laughs.. I think you (Andy) were saying something else funny before it which prompted the recording, but the Bacon moment eclipsed whatever that was entirely.

Some of us are Welsh (from Wales). We sometimes get a little touchy if we're called English - Well I do anyway!!

We have backyards, too. But a yard is generally a concrete/paved, plant-less space. Builder's yards, Shipyards etc.
But your garden clearly had foliage and is therefore clearly a garden, not a backyard.

That's fine by me. I just think of a garden as a flower or vegetable garden, something that requires regular work...not just a backyard with some landscaping and a few potted plants.

I can dig that, but there was definite leafage, = garden.
I like your garden and your BONFIRE, anyway..

Agreed. "Backyard" generally applies only when it's in the BACK of the house/apartment... hence the term. Or just plain "yard".

well, I am Jewish, but I still love bacon. Hmmm... forbidden....
I still want to know how UK bacon is different. Is it like "Canadian bacon?"

I predict that Fest 8 will feature an unknown band called "Improper Bacon."
