Sounds like we need to have a meeting of the Finer Things club next Fest for all of us book learned folk.

I'l get a bottle of Campari and somebody else get one of the tapes of Vonnegut reading his own books, we can all talk about intelligent things until we're too trashed to remember what the point of reading is.

oh neigh sir, one must never get overly imbibed at said meetings. doing so would be a gross misconduct and very ungentlemanly.

i'll bring the moonshine. this is the south, we have different kinds of 'finer things' or more correctly, 'finer thangs'.

If we're going for Southern "refinement" I'd say we'll need biscuits and gravy. I love that shit so much, and no one out west can make white gravy I like.

Wow.
Seriously.

Go ahead and pencil it in folks. GNV residents this summer, Festgoers next year, if you've got brains and like books, there will be meeting of the Confederacy of Dunces to talk literature, listen to the Andres Segovia recording of Bach, and eat southern cooking.

Sad to say it, but I've been waiting years for a book club I actually wanted to join.

The forces that be will not allow you to live here, if you refer to our fine city as GNV again.
