I keep expecting you guys to have a 40 page thread going about how Blake's new band needs to play next year (despite the fact that, I'm going to estimate 80% to be conservative, at least 80% of us haven't heard it) and we're talking about Andrew W.K.?
But yeah, i signed it. I want to have a beer with that dude.

someone needs to find a way to contact Andrew W.K. directly. If you go straight to his agent or label and what not they would probably just ignore it or ask for an insanely large amount of money

He's playing a show in New York next month. Maybe someone can do it there. I heard he's good with signing autographs. Hopefully we can trick him into signing a contract for Fest 8.

Somebody just tell him there's a party in Gainesville with 5000 people who party harder for three days than anyone else in the country does all year. It'll be accurate AND hard to resist.

I posted this in the other thread, but my friends brother is good friends with him, they hang out in DC a lot. I'm not sure how close my friend is with his brother anymore, but I'll try to make a suggestion anyway. Apparently he's good friends with Thurston Moore too along with Don Fleming and some other guys, he used to tour with Sonic Youth on bass or something.
Here's some pic of a bunch of them off his facebook page, he's the Dave Grohl-ish looking dude in the top right

Hey, FSU managed to get him to come play a free show at the student union a couple years ago, I'm sure Fest can snare him too! Granted, a university has tons of money, but the Fest is a much bigger draw. I remember him actually running from the stage to the door after the set saying "I'm late for a plane."

uh, excuse me uh, mr WK, but you remember your first album cover? well how would you like to play a Fest to over 3000 people that look just like your album cover? but instead of a gross old white shirt, it would be a tight black one.
are you in or what, mr WK?
