The guy from Anthem who did it missed a line, so my banana looks like he has a fin instead of a stick-arm but I'll keep it like that anyway 'cuz its funny.
I was so jealous when Kelly showed me this at Common Grounds. I'm, for sure, getting this next year with a FFF.

you need to have them uploaded elsewhere first, say myspace or a flikr account.. then link to them with the [ img] tags. it's a bit of a faff, but you MUST upload that picture of you in common grounds doing karaoke. i've never seen anything so hilarious and disturbing!

Got two TCOL birds on either tops of my forearms/elbows whilst in Gainesville. I'm still bruised like a bitch and one of the tails on 'Arthur' (aka right arm bird) is rough as fuck because of how horrible and bruise/swelled it went the second the needle touched it. Nothing a spot of touching up won't fix once the bruising has finally faded (yes, still bruised two+ weeks later, ouch. Pansy arms, it seems)
Really wanted the Fest Friends owls, but Anthem were nowhere to be found on the Sunday and I was pretty brassic by that point.
Good times all round!

So, after nearly two months.. my arms are not right still. From what I can find on the internets, reading various FAQ/problem sites blahblah.. it transpires the dude who did me just went hell for fucking leather and tattoo'd too deep/at a weird angle or whatever. I guess he freaked out and went super deep when it came to the insides of my elbows/'ditch' or whatever. Pretty weird, but it's going to take some fixin'/thicker outline/addition of shading/wind bars/whatever to take away from the fact that my arms look like they're still bruised/a bit blurry in places.
From reading up on the matter, it could've been my fault - but only if I had a weird thin skin. Which I don't. So.. sadly, won't be getting tattoo'd at Anthem again, or at least not by the same dude - and it'll have to be hellaciously cheap to tempt me to risk it. Which is a shame, 'cos I love the idea of Fest ink as a concept/ongoing annual thing.
Oh well.

Oh well. Shit dude, that sucks. I didn't even know you'd had any probs. They looked alright when I saw em, although they were pretty fresh like. Grim.

My Anthem tat wasn't great, (well, my only Fest tattoo) and wayy expensive for what it is and how long it took. But no problems with it or anything healing/fuckup-wise

Oh well. Oh no Daniel So who did it? (PM me) Although the same person at Anthem has done all of my tattoos, one of them was done too deeply/hard (that's what she said) and now is 3D. People always ask me if its fresh or tell me its neat b/c it has texture. But, from talking to other artists, it happens when you tattoo someone and go to deep. It wasn't the most painful of the bunch and it still looks kickass and doesn't bother me a bit, but I'm just surprised that this person wasn't consistent. One night when I was drunk at Common Grounds, I talked to him about it. He told me that he had a tattoo that did it too - its raised. And showed me it on his leg. Mine that is raised is the dandelion: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... ID=6351611I'll let you feel it next year, if you're a good boy. Haha, j/k btw - I had a nightmare recently that my tattoos (one of them being like 8 years old now) rejected and sort of dissipated into blurs.
