Now that the Fest is officially over for the year, I have gotten back into my swing of skipping class, slacking off and playing way too many video games.

What do you guys get up to when you're not Festing? Hobbies? Interests? Punk rock shows is one thing, but there are only so many a week...

Try to play guitar, die a little standing at Lowe's for hours, have panic attacks in class and barely learn anything, try to hang out with my two friends, and buy more albums then I know what to do with, I think that's about it? Oh sometimes I drink, a lot.

Shows of all kinds are a very regular part of my life, but I can be found..canoeing, hiking, camping, biking, fishing, cooking for friends. having impromptu dance parties with my kickass dogs. Getting beat at Scrabble by my bf on the porch on those quiet nights at Common Grounds. Traveling for shows & to see friends. Watching the Celtics/Gators. Getting drunk with my friends on my back porch and making asses of ourselves. Working for National Underground. Designing shit for friends' causes. Getting my Netflix on. Overextending myself in general.

I should say going to weddings, since I've been to 7 this year. But, I think next year will be quiet.

For work, I do web/print graphic design for a small agency.

I spend too much time on the internet. I like to cook/go out to eat, watch TV, hang with friends. Anything that doesn't take too much energy. For my job I'm a teacher and it just wears me out.

While I'm finishing school I rarely do anything of interest. I once was really into camping, snowboarding, surfing, scuba, fishing, road trips, and really really really loved SCCA autocross racing. Now I just beg for peace and quiet and await the weekends so I can be with my son.

right now, I work a manufacturing job, and go to night school.

When I get a chance, I like to read comic books, homebrew beer, read real books, drink fancy craft beers, keep up with politics, download a lot of music and these days not getting ot listen to enough of it, and I recently got netflix, but don't really have time to watch teh movies.

I'd love to actually do more, but school/work is a real drain these days.

I went to shows alone for the most part for about my first year or so in Gainesville. thankfully I've made some awesome friends that actually like the same music I do now because going alone gets old after awhile. foosball at the atlantic was the ultimate friend maker for me.

I had no idea UF had a synchronized swimming team.

i've lived in gville for 3 years =( i just have awful social anxiety. going alone has been old for a long time. but its better than sitting at home.

and we do have a synchro team! a really good one actually. it's pretty much the reason why i moved here.

I used to go to most shows alone, and it really does get old.

synchornized swimming almost doesn't seem like a real thing. You see it on TV, but you never meet anyone who actually does it. So let's meet up at a show, so we won't be going to shows alone, and I can finally meet a synchronized swimmer.

MURS on Saturday.

- Post on WAY TOO MANY message boards and online communities: topics of design, photography, music, movies, and even insects. I like to call it "networking".

- Photographing EVERYTHING around me.

- Watching movies, especially Horror and Sci-Fi.

- Always looking for new music and going to see new bands.

- I'll be frantically job hunting here soon too.

- And to go along with Janeen's comment on going to weddings:

I avoid going to weddings. Constantly seem to get invited, never go. Not my thing. Keep getting asked to shoot them too. I may have to break down and do it soon though.

Ha, you don't go to weddings...I don't go to funerals. I'll only go for someone else in support if they ask.
