After having some time for it to sink in, it made me think about how insignificant a victory it really is. Race? A mental and sociological hurdle we created and placed on ourselves that we've now chosen to be removed. The national equivalent to not believing in Santa anymore. It was nothing real in the first place, we were just too young and dumb to understand that. I'd like to be celebrating something real someday, like removing the electoral college or the disbandment of the two party system. So we can make some real change. Then we can break out the kazoos and confetti. The boxes we were thinking in were much too small. All we got this time is someone who's not a white dude. We have so much more ahead of us.

I decided the other day that if someone would not only vote to ban gay marriage, but would actually march around a wave a sign about it, they are so ignorant that I would not feel bad about throwing a rock at them.

i kinda wish i would have watched fox on tuesday night. i can only imagine the horribley forced smiles as they announce that obama won another state.

what was great was when obama won cnn and nbc's websites were both like "yes he can" or "obama is the next president" just positive obvious statements

fox's was immediately "TROUBLE AHEAD FOR THE NEW PRESIDENT" "OBAMA HAS TO MUCH ON HIS PLATE" even now all it talks about is how obama owes favors to people that helped him so there all going to be given cushy government jobs

I heard people talk about Fox New's bias before but never really saw it until I tuned in yesterday. It was all about how the REPUBLICAN party was going to get back on it's feet and such. Nothing positive or informative about Democrats.

i checked the channels before work and Fox was the only one that didn't have election coverage.
