sat evening at market st. i saw the lead singer for look mexico getting carted out on a stretcher, i hope he is ok. i heard a few rumors that he fell down the stairs and that he was unresponsive. the ems guys said jokingly that he had got a splinter but he would be fine.
in a previous thread mackenzie mentioned someone getting a head injury during a show at the venue. i dont recall all the details but i dont think it was ever mentioned how he is currently doing. wow, i didn't hear that about Matt(Look Mexico). I was with him Saturday night, but we got seperated during the show. I really hope nothing too bad happened to him. He was pretty shitty that night.
Yeah, I've never seen him that drunk as he was on Saturday. But, I posted up a couple posts an email I got from Josh (LM' drummer), he's fine thankfully.

yeah i just read that. i feel like an idiot hahaha.
I've known Matt for a few years now, and he was 100x more drunk on Saturday than he was all of last years Fest. I had to carry him a few times.

3) Friday I spent much of my day/night at 1982. At some point while I was shooting the show from the stage I saw a track-light hanging above the band (think it was ANS) get ripped out of ceiling by the audience. I talked to the singer later who told me that the venue cut him off at the bar and blamed it on him. I saw the whole thing, that was BS. There was nothing he could do about it. That venue is small with low ceilings, bound to happen. The rumor I kept hearing later on all during Fest is that Festers later that same night went nuts in general and "overtook the bar". I think this story was just an over elaboration of the light pull down story. Anyone there then during the last 3 bands? I was shooting over at Nelly's at that point. I was at 1982 for the last three bands, it was totally chill. I think Mehkago NT made some silly attempt at the beginning of their set to convince everybody that the ripped out light socket was actually live and dangerous. I heard the bartenders snickering while this announcement was made, and it did not deter kids from walking on the ceiling during the show. I don't know what went down earlier in the evening, but it was all peace, love, and grindcore for the last three sets.
OK, good to know. I figured that rumor was total bullsht.

My friend and I were walking through the back lot of the Venue during Lawerence Arms, and an ambulance pulled up, followed quickly by like 5 or 6 kids full out sprinting. We asked them what was going on and they said that a friend of theirs got all fucked up and was hurt bad. We walked past a few kids huddled around and some EMS guys...didn't really see anything though...

Wow, and to think I made it out with only severely bruised ribs or possibly a hairline fracture.
I hope who ever got hit by the car is alright.

I was in the crowd for The Lawrence Arms when this happened.. I saw security pull some passed out kid up on stage and rush him to the back. The Larry Arms continued playing, but they looked a little freaked out. Apparently, the kid ended up being alright (that's what they said before they continued on with their set).

I just heard that there was a house party Sunday night where some guy was driving down the street drunk and out of control and almost hit a dog, and a bunch of people pulled him out of his car and gave him what for.

GOOD FOR THEM! Uh, unless they beat the shit out of him.
When I parked at the party Sat night I saw some kids beating up some kid right next to my car and he say, "I would never mean to hurt anyone on purpose!"

Speaking of fights at Fest... aren't they supposed to take your wristband away if you get into a fight at any of the venues?

lol you never thought you'd hear me say this, but fighting is pretty lame.
especially a bunch of punks beating up some drunk driver. unless they were like sxe mosh warriors or something, but i'm pretty sure at least one of them had driven drunk before.
