The Practice Space Shows
Saturday:
Sakes Alive, None More Black, New Mexican Disaster Squad Reunion show (started by playing "Minor Threat"), Reverse The Curse, Dirty Money, OK Pilot, Smartbomb, Shook Ones (played "I'm The One" like last year's show), Comadre, Broadway Calls (Jawbreaker and Refused cover song)
apparently No Triggers bass player was drunk in a swamp somewhere which is why they didn't play
Sunday:
I forget who the first couple bands were, but I remember Antillectual, OK Pilot and Sakes Alive again, then The Flatliners showed up and played some rocket from the crypt covers and somehow stumbled through a full version of "The Decline"

Smartbomb played again last night as well as After the Fall.
Antillectual was a fluke - I ran into those dudes as I was waiting for my friend to pick me up in front of Checkers to head over to the warehouse, mentioned the show to them and they wanted to know how they could play it. I told them I think it's just whatever bands happen to be there could as long as they ask first, so they hitched a ride with us over there since there are only three of them. They played one of their own songs and a really sloppy cover of "Ordinary" by Face To Face but it was fun regardless.

And completely off base and possibly blasphemous opinion:
The warehouse late-night shows may very well have been more fun than the actual Fest shows. Maybe. Just a bit.

i almost didn't go to the warehouse show last night since I was so tired from everything, so happy I decided at the last minute to get over there mainly becuase we all got to hang out more and it gave me a chance to say bye to a ton of people.

the rumour of The Ergs! acoustic was true until Mikey told me he was exhausted, then I saw his set and completely understood, maybe next year.

The guy from Johnny Hobo ( didnt get the name but i think it was United Kitchen Dishwashers Union), Spoonboy, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Porches, and another band i didnt get the name of put on an amazing house show 9th st. on saturday night. AJJ literally played every song they didnt play at the kickstand, and they did it on a porch! Such a great Show
There was another great house show with Fake Problems, At will, and Imadethismistake on Friday Night that was completely BUMPIN! Great house show to kick the Fest off with.
Also, We (folk the system) played a show with greenland is melting and look mexico (+ 5 other bands) at a house around noon on saturday. That was a really fun show, and great way to kick off the best day of the Fest.
What I learned: Fest House Shows are the BEST house shows!

I saw the house show in someone's back yard near Gyro's on Saturday with a terrifying spider around the side of the house. Who were the bands playing that?
Saturday night there was a show in someone's living room with loads of people out front of the house and all of the cop cars in Gainesville just to bust some guy on an open container. I have no idea who was playing but the first band sounded great.
On Sunday there was the show with Slingshot Dakota, Algernon Cadwallader and Iron Chic. I can't remember the name of the first band. That was awesome but shut down by the cops.

I'm pretty sure one of the bands that played the Saturday show near the Gyro place was Restorations, the Jena Berlin side project band.
