haha - I fucked it up again, ... I even looked it it up over google and landed at some german forum, where they explained it wrong as well they had 12am = noon.... gonna see if I know keep it or if I will have forgotten it in 2 month again..

I'm definitly not stupid but there are things I always fuck up, like the am/pm or like with who and how... I of course know when to use which of both terms, but whenever I just write a text in englisch I just mix them up.

but isnt't it 12.00 am (=noon) and then 12.01 pm.. I think it would be much more easier to have 11.59 am and then continue with 12.00pm..

Haha... I'm amazing how many posts are in this thread.

I thin we should get rid of "spring forward" in March (or is it April?) and just have "fall back" in October/November. Hell, let's have "fall back" in the spring too.

I don't think that article is saying that Obama has said anything about getting rid of DST, just that the authors of the article think he SHOULD.

But I think most studies had actually shown that using DST or getting rid of it doesn't really change energy consumption patterns much either way. There are a lot more practical concerns than hypothetical and neglibile energy savings.

Businesses like DSt because it makes people stay out and shop later in the day I'd rather have DST all year and get rid of the switch to earlier evenings, but then parents would pitch a fit about like kids getting on the bus in the dark during the school year. Which is totally understandable. So we should probably just keep things the way we do them now.

Not all change is good, sometimes if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

mmh gonna see.. that would cause a lot of confusion.. when I flew over to the states it was the week we already had changed our time but not yet the states and there were long lines at the imigration and the officer said, its because of the timechange, too many flights arrive in this week at the same time and they even have problems to many planes want to land in that week at the same time
