I brought some beer from Germany to Iceland recently. Never been a problem before, but on this occasion one of them exploded big style and destroyed a Sinaloa tshirt. Well, I say destroyed, made it smell quite beery, which to be honest I was comfortable with.

Yeah, I'd say wrap your beer REALLY well in a plastic bag taped up if you're going to pack it.

I was going to go the t-shirt route, but maybe i'll wrap them all up in a towel(s) and then in a couple layers of plastic bags tapped up...not that I won't probably smell like beer the whole weekend anyways...

That is going to take up a LOT of room, if you use towels. Then again, I have to remember that I over pack and guys really don't pack much of anything in comparison.

I wasn't even going to check luggage originally, I have a pretty big messenger bag that I use for everyday. Now I'm thinking about leaving the messenger bag behind and JUST checking a duffel and bringing my camera bag...depends on whether or not I decide to leave my laptop at home or not, which depends on how many pictures I'm planning on taking, and whether I have a secure place to keep stuff while I'm in town, I guess.

Andy, you should try the Bell's Java Stout, they've got it at Gator Beverage. Unless Wisconsin has some sort of weird death feud with Michigan. One of the best coffee stouts I've ever had, I'd probably rank it #2 for that style.

weird, i actually just bought a bell's kalamazoo something. very tasty!

YAY BELL'S! I went to high school in Kalamazoo. This whole summer if I had a couple extra bucks I'd grab some Bell's Oberon instead of PBR. I worked a lot this summer so I tended to have a couple extra bucks. Hooray beer.
