I'm a bit late on this... I didn't join the Fest board til yesterday. I just couldn't take the excitement anymore.

I'm Bill from Boston/New Jersey. This is my first Fest and I don't think I am going to be able to remember all the fun I plan on having.

Well, I should have come here first... Ya'll prob want to know who this random girl is jumpin up in the forum..
I'm Miranda, I'm 26, and I live in Gville. Pretty much local but I have left and come back here and there.
I moved back just in time for the first Fest but just ended up drinking quarts out of my back pack and feelin lonely- I didn't have a ticket or know anyone...
I went to Fest 2,3,4 I think.. Fest 5 I was 8 months preg and just did the folky mellow and free stuff. Same thing for Fest 6, I had a small kid and I took him to see Saw Wheel and a few bands at 2nd St Bakery on that Saturday and then to the guerrilla folk show at the clock tower the following day.
This past Fest I was pretty balls to the walls, and it was my favorite ever. I didn't have a boyfriend or a small child to deal with while Festing and it was awesome. I just stayed out late and got up early with my boy every day. It was rough but so fun.
I was lurking on this board before Fest so I could stay up to date on what was up but joined afterwards coz it looked fun. I am always down for more community.
I'm just a silly punk rock lady who doesn't get out much. I play roller derby and thats bout it besides raising my son.
I go out every few weeks. If you see me, feel free to give me a high five.

i'll make sure to keep an eye out for those festive socks to give ya a high five

Haha, pun intended??? Someone asked my last night if i was "ready for the bout today", sigh. Not on the team too far away. But I'm there in spirit. Maybe I'll drop by and shoot you ladies sometime, I know several of the GRR girls. And you and I have mutual friends beyond that. So yeah, hope I run into you in person. I'll say hi!

Tonight is our pre-bout party at the Atlantic... But I'm not going.. coz of Fest AIDS!!! Dammit.
But our real life action awesome grrrl on grrrl flat track roller derby bout is going down next Sunday, Nov 16 at the Alachua Co Fairgrounds. And I'm trying like hell to get better so I can bout.

i'm Sean and i talk about myself in the first person. i just moved to Gainesvegas in August but i've been festing since #2. I'm here for a few yrs but have been too busy now to go to shows (except The Fest) so i don't know any of you. that's a problem since the only guys i know are boring, don't like punk and can't appreciate a good PBR.

so let's form a techno-dance-party club or something. we'll Fest once a month.
