Figured this was the best sub-forum to put this topic in, if not oops.
anyways, don't know if this would be of any interest to anyone but for those of you that are into old school punk rock nostalgia i noticed that this upcoming week on Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that next week the show is actually featuring the following bands on the show as the musical performers: X (Tuesday), New York Dolls (Wednesday), & The Damned (on both Thursday & Friday).
the person the sent me the email telling me about these episodes told me that Craig Ferguson actually was a drummer for a Scotish punk band back in his day. Never heard that before but cool to know that Conan O'Brien isn't the only late night host with a healthy obsession with bands like The Clash and bands of yesteryear.

I'd LOVE to watch this, especially The Damned!!!
My friend has tv where I'm staying too, maybe I can have someone record it. I'm sure I'll be out doing Fest stuff at the time.

i better have someone DVR or tape it for me because even with the Late Late show not starting until 1:00 in the morning that is jsut the beginning of the day for the Fest, hell the Bouncing Souls show doesn't even get out until 1:30!

Too bad Craig Ferguson is only funny about 10% of the time.
I'd watch these bands, but I have an early bedtime these days

whhaaaaaaat? he might not be the best, but 10%... it's a 50/50 with him, ATLEAST TO ME (humor is completely subjective opinion). but if i'm not mistaken the guy doesn't even use cue cards in his monolouge and i still think he comes off better than Kimmel and Leno, even Letterman is getting weak lately.
It's been a while since I've watched any of those shows all the way through but i just think Craig is more engaging in his monologue and interviews, that being said his skits are awful.
should be interesting when to see how Jimmy Fallon turns out as the new host of Late Night on NBC. He was always to me the biggest wasste of TV time on an already lackluster SNL, i just can't see him even remotely filling the shoes of his predecessors Letterman & Conan.
speaking of Letterman & O'Brien, has there been any talk of Leno getting an offer from FOX or ABC to go against Dave & Conan at the 11:35 timeslot? might be interesting...

Yeah, and in mine:
Letterman = hasn't been funny in a LONG time
Leno = was never funny
Conan = brilliant

that's about right.
The best thing about Letterman is how he just doesn't even give a shit anymore. Conan is still great, but not as funny as he was a few years ago.
Ferguson has his moments, and he is a good interviewer, but his monologues are bad half the time, and the skits are fucking awful.
