of course things changed a little since the wall came down and from hat I hear the scene today is nothing compared to the old days, but its still an awesome place to live, as a lot of more "alternative (or whoever you wanna call it) people still move to berlin

Q: "Can a punk be a conservative?"
A: "Yes, an extremely annoying and contrarian one."
Seriously, that site just depresses me. Apparently the Bouncing Souls are on some comp that they're pushing on that site - a punk/hardcore "Support Our Troops" comp.
I just don't get it - these people are in it for what - the look? They want tattoos and piercings but don't want to think about the societal norms they're flaunting and where those norms come from? Besides the fact that to me, punk is essentially, "Oh, mainstream culture, you're doing that? Well let me take a big greasy dump on it"- I've gotta wonder, did they never get a Dead Kennedys lyric sheet or something?
Besides that, I think I'm gonna puke in my fucking space helmet, cheers to whoever brought that awful site up again, I forgot how wonderful my life is when I pretend people like that don't exist.

Yeah, same here, he's stayed at our house a few times now when he's brought bands over, Young Livers a couple of weeks ago, Ringers, Lemuria, Latterman and so on. He's an excellent dude.

@ give blood: oh yeah -I meant squat.. but I always love when bands come over here the first time, as it seems to be different from touring the states. for example its pretty much standard here abands gets food, accomondation and beer, you don't even have to ask for it while booking
@kenny/ shibby jay: yes thats exactly how know him.. He was thinking about coming to the Fest as well, but doesn't make it

Yeah, I asked him about Fest too, he's apparently quite scared of flying, which is a shame. He also exclaimed that the Young Livers tour was his holiday and he was happy with that.
And yeah, Jay, I've been very drunk around Jan and got his bands very drunk and he cops tremendously. Also, fun fact, he first experienced cheese, albeit vegan (I think it was made from sawdust. Probably), in our house.
