Can any Floridians tell me if the bars, or at least the liquor stores have Shlitz? I know the punk beers are PBR and Old Style, but for my money nothing beats the good old taste of the lesser known good old Milwaukee beer. It sucked for a long time, but they went back to the "old school" recipe, and now it is my favorite beer!

Yeah, Shlitz is sometimes available in stores- I think I got it at Publix one time. If you find it, however, you may be a bit disappointed by its pricing. At the moment, four-packs of Miller High Life remain the cheapest thing available in the drinkable swill department, with the fine Milwaukee beers usually running only a little bit cheaper than Yuengling (Yuengling has a brewery in Florida)

Yeah, it's like $3-$4 for a 6, I think...I usually buy it by the case though.

We already established that Old Style will be nowhere to be found in G-ville . . . but I think we're gonna haul down a thirty-case or two, just to keep things on the level.

In the 90s in Gville Shlitz was the "cool punk beer" before PBR blew up.
So yeah, "PBR is the new Shlitz".
As for finding it in Gville still, no idea... someone call Gator Bev.

I know Shclitz is available in FL, but I don't know about Gainesville specifically.
Schlitz and PBR are the same thing though, just with different labels.

I'm not calling them again.
I know for a fact that Kangaroos carry Flordies(32oz) of Schlitz at every location.

I don't think that's true anymore. That used to be the case, but Shlitz has recently changed their recipe to the original Shlitz brewery recipe from when the brewery started in the early part of the 20th century...its a lot better now, I like it WAY more than PBR.
Its funny to me that Shlitz was the popular punk beer in FL. No one even drank that stuff here until recently!
