well, I was already gonna see Landmines instead of Dead To Me, but I'd probably go see Fifth Hour Hero over Landmines.
I've got a list of semi-realistic but-still-improbable requests I could make.

we had a coalition going last year to get him to play
apparently he was asked but no one heard anything back, we just need to find a way to contact him directly and not his booking people (I'm speaking in plans for Fest 8 of course)

Fest 8 nothing! If you could get a hold of him directly, I bet he'd come play a house show for free! He's just that kind of guy as I understand it!

When i first heard Andrew WK, I thought he sounded pretty good, but I couldn't get into it because all the songs were just too dumb and similar.
But 2 years ago he put out an album, that his US recor dlabel refused to put out. It has only come out in Japan, South Korea, and very limited vinyl double LP in the US.
and that album, "Close Calls With Brick Walls" is fucking AWESOME. It was produced by DOn Fleming, who has an impressive resume, if you're the kind of guy who nerds out about things like that. But it really doesn't sound like much else that he's produced.

oooh, I just had the perfect idea... CRIME IN STEREO... they might not be a mainstage The Venue draw, but bump up some other band, and add CIS to the lineup somewhere else. They'll be in the area, and have no dates after October 30!

It was actually a small Providence RI label I'm pretty sure.
