Derek, 23- Charlotte, north cakolacke. First Fest, wanted to go to the last two but didn't make it happen. This year got the holiday inn room and can't wait to see a shit load of bands I love for the first time and a few others for a second time. As the name says I'm obsessed with the replacements and my other favorite bands are Whiskeytown, X, Gun Club, and Ann Beretta. Will be awesome to catch their last show. Even though I've gone to 2 shows of theirs this year that was supposed to be their last show. This is my goofy ass self. Should have posted an excited Fest face pic but whatever. Can't wait!

I should finally introduce myself! I'm Ian, 26, another Brit and it's my first Fest, having wanted to come over for the last couple of years. Now I can afford it and I'm massively excited!

I'm going to the Gainesville pre-Fest at 1982 on Thursday night and staying the Holiday Inn. I can't wait to meet you all and watch None More Black, Dillinger Four, Pink Razors, Iron Chic, Rehasher, The Ergs and loads more.

I'll have to look into that. The bands I'm looking forward to the most are
used kids, measure sa, ninja gun, d4, chinese telephones, off with their heads, ann beretta, foundation, arrivals, two cow, and drag the river. getting so close. ah, yeah.

It always makes me happy when people NOT from Milwaukee mention the Chinese Telephones, its awesome they are well liked outside their hometown, especially since their shows here are always really light...its kind of sad. I'm stoked to see them though! Last show with Gorky! Sad...

I am also excited for the Used Kids, D4, The Ergs, Ann Beretta, and LTJ for something like the 13th or 14th time! Haha

im from milwaukee, although i havent lived there since i was a little kid....tons of my family still live there and i hope to go visit in the near future. you need to show me where the good shows are at when im in town!

The Vault is the best basement venue, not much for clubs anymore, although since the Globe East closed I suppose that's been the case. Mad Planet isn't bad sometimes. I don't get out much these days, The Fest is going to be like going to heaven for me.

Lets get together and down some PBRs next weekend and show The Fest what the Midwest is all about!

Might as well do this while I'm waiting for my taxi. I'm Meng, 25, live in Manchester, UK. This will be my first time at the Fest and first time going abroad in many many years. Will be hanging out in New Jersey/New York before Florida and going to Tampa on the Wednesday and the 1982 show on Thursday as well. I'll be trying to pretend that I don't have terrible social skills whilst in the US, so if you see an Asian guy with poor social skills say hello/hi five, it might be me. looking back i did. i completly forgot haha. and that was a carnival they had at usf where everything was free. it was SWEET!
