i'm hoping to get a room at Rush Lake again but i don't really know anyone else needing a place to crash. i'd like to split the room with some people so i figure i'll just throw this post out there.


totally down for some Fest Rush Lake partying.

how far is it from the festivities? me and a friend might be interested depending on if i have to drive there after a full day of drinking

me and my friends walked on saturday last Fest and it was about 20-30 minutes maybe. we usually took cabs which ended up being like $12 split between 3 people. i'm thinking about looking into renting a bike.

if your familiar with the university/ downtown area of Gainesville, Rush Lake Motel is between Dirty Money's old place and that big mural. it's a bee line straight to/from the Fest hotel. it's not too close, but it's not that far away either.

plus they have bottle openers attached to their bathroom sinks! haha

thursday i'm calling up Rush Lake (it's fuckin' payday!) and find out the price for a 2 bed room for friday afternoon to monday morning/ afternoon.

once i find that out, i'll figure out the costs.

it'll most likely be smoke free, but if i have to get a smoking room that's fine, i'd just hope anyone still smokes on the balcony/ outside.

I think when I booked it, it was 62 bucks a night for a two bed. I could be wrong but i think thats the ballpark range...

last year upon checking out, the lady gave us a discount since we were going to the Fest. i think it ended up being around $75 for each of us for the whole weekend and there were only 2 of us.
