Would it make sense at all for international peeps that are staying for a week to get a prepaid cell phone? I've never really looked into it in detail, but they seem pretty cheap these days.

Still not 100% that I'll be there, as I can't actually get my plane ticket/hotel until probably the week of, but I'd be down to exchange numbers with whoever...PM me or what have you.

I checked out earlier to today rates for bringing my mobile and saw a side where they said, that its not easy to get a prepaid card without living in the US

I checked out earlier to today rates for bringing my mobile and saw a side where they said, that its not easy to get a prepaid card without living in the US not a calling card for your phone you already have. you can actually buy a whole new (cheap crappy) phone at almost any grocery store or department store, and buy a card to put minutes on it right away. Might need to go on a website to activate it.

It can't be too much trouble.
