Funny, I met mine in line at CGs too. I had no idea he was in one of the Fest bands until later. Nothing happened beyond talking in line. You story does sound more romantic.

When someone reveals their crush at Fest and you don't share it and they leave you in the middle of an otherwise awesome day, drunk beyond belief and confused, because you just thought you were friends.

I met mine at the Fest photo booth, nothing ever happened we hung out at a couple shows and I talked to her on the phone forever in hopes of seeing her this year, so I send her the best package ever with out of print broadways lp, asob's stuff, a hot water music clairmel cd which is out of print which I figured she deserved for living near gainseville, next thing I know I get no package and she stops talking to me, then Dirty Money comes into town and Colin's dating her, not only that she said I talked shit about him which isn't even true, Colin almost fought me when they played here and I'm not even sure we're cool at this point, Fest crush my ass, shitty huh?

Let's get the Fest Sex thread going again.

Mine was a friend of a friend who crashed in our hotel room last year. Really, really nice dude and we got along excellently. He became difficult to keep in touch with for a while after that so the crush faded.


We're friends though now. He rules.



I'm sure I'll find a new crush this year. haha.

I got the phone number of mine later on from a fellow band mate that figured out we were crushing on one another... but i never called. I mean it was MONTHS after the Fest and he lives somewhere out West. I didn't see the point. He doesn't even do the interwebs.

My Fest crush felt me up then broke my heart. I hope he's there again this year.

the closest thing I had to a Fest crush last year wasn't actually a Fest-goer, but the friend who let me use her apartment and babysit her dog while she went to visit friends back in her hometown that weekend. So we hung out briefly Friday before Fest and Sunday after Fest.

At one point the crush was mutual, but I was living in Jacksonville at the time, and she wasn't into the "long distance" idea, and she has since found herself in another serious relationship. My chance is long gone.
