someone has been flyering the school like mad man for the Fest. i would really like to find who it is; student or teacher? and also kind of odd since the Fest is pretty much 18+

Crucial! Prolly a student.
TA'ing at UF pretty much guarantees that I'll run into some students at The Fest, but that's totally different, as we're all adults, I'm a student, too, and I am pretty used to running into my students around town when I'm all wasted.
I used to teach (and sub) high school in the DC area, I occasionally ran into students at shows, or went to local VFW-type shows when students asked me to come see their band or whatever. That shit was always fun, even if it did involve the paranoia of having to "look the other way" at certain times. Anyhow, young uns have it rough these days, and some of them are in desperate need of positive punk rock role models.

I know quite a few teachers that are/were also musicians in Gville. Some are playing the Fest. But I'll guess it is a student. Teachers won't be wanting to be seeing their students when they are drinking/hanging out for the most part.
And that flyer is odd looking. Is it a B&W copy with yellow marker? Is it even the current revised poster?
What school? If you don't mind saying in public.

its a b&w copy with the Fest and certain info colored in with a yellow marker. this is at Eastside High, so it is probably one or some of the few 18 year olds who attend.
but yea it would be ridiculously awkward to run into some i've subbed for while in the midst of Festing

some kids I used to sub for are pretty cool and I see them at shows all the time. I knew them from shows before being their sub so on the day where I had their class I walk in and i'm like, uhh, hey guys...this is weird. but now they are all graduated and shit is cool.
It's more weird running into people that are/were actually my students. I've been at concerts and I hear "Ms Harper!". argh.
One last story: I was at this music Fest out here called Edgefest (radio station is The Edge) and some crowd surfing girl fell down next to me, and it was a student I used to teach! I'm like "Alyssa, what the hell?" She's like "uhh hi, ms harper". She's barely 14...anyway, some dudes were smoking weed right next to her and I scared the shit out of him enough to stamp out his joint. I definitely put on my teacher hat for that one. Don't fucking do that shit around kids.

yeah, I used to sub at 4 different high schools and 2 middle schools, so I had few kids in classrooms recognize when I started subbing, and after a few months, almost EVERY kid at shows would run up and say "Hi Mr. Weiss!" and it felt sort of surreal.
Any Gville residents familiar with the band VIncent Valentine? their singer was a kid I subbed for. This was in 2002. Last year, he was opening for one of my favorite bands, and he was really excited to see me, and he told me what big influence I had been on him, to get involved more with music. WEIRD. but kinda cool.
