hawkgirl wrote: Congrats! There was a newborn at the show last night at CG. He had earplugs and seemed happy, but I felt really bad for his lungs. I guess you probably know by now that at week 15, your baby starts to develop hearing, but can't process it yet. Maybe it will pick up some skills before its vocal chords start developing at week 18.
Thank you
Wow, I can't believe they let a baby in & that someone brought a baby!

My wife, Betzy, was going to shows until her 40th week (full-term). Lil Betzy really liked rockabilly (Big Sandy in particular) and Social Distortion. You could feel her sorta dancing in rythm to the standup bass...it was really awesome. Play music on your belly with headphones for sure...all kinds. Classical, funk, punk, country, blues...all of it.
Just be careful. Lookout for everybody else, if you decide to go. People don't think about that when they're out to a show...let alone Festing.

If any ladies are interested in getting pregnant during Fest 7, just let me know. I don't have the best track record of inseminating ladies (I usually chicken out and finish on their boobs instead), but I'm willing to practice if that's what you really want.

Aww, that's cute
That's what I'm scared of how rough crowds get & second~hand smoke.
Getting kicked, punched, pushed etc.
We deff plan on playing a lot of music for the baby!
That's something we're excited about.

Awesome, that's my friend Jessica! She is a Gville veteran. Last time I saw her she was playing with Citizen Fish and had her baby and a babysitter on the road with her (seperate car), pretty awesome.

As for babies at shows, not too stoked about it. Especially with all the smoke. My hair STILL smells like CGs. Though I admit that baby looked damn cozy.

Not that I'm a nazi against smoking but I am really happy LA passed legislature against it in most establishments. I find myself going out more at night.

That's the one thing im not looking forward to - smelling like the Marlboro man's nutsack each morning.. The smoking ban was the best thing ever, you can go out casually, maybe not drink and have no ill effects the following day. plus, you dont HAVE to wash your clothes each time.

For some reason I was thinking that they will have had a smoking ban like us. That sucks. My main concern is getting shrink-wrapped alive in my can of whoop ass costume if someone accidently (or perhaps on purpose?) burns it with a cigarette. as far as i understand its a nylony inflatable costume that blows itself up around you. And I'm going to be about a metre wide with it on. I think i'm definitely getting shrink wrapped

I ordered it to Hawkgirl's house 'cause they wouldn't ship to the UK. Its fucking ridiculous. I think I should get the award for Fest twat 2008
Are you dressing up? There should be some sort of a birthday-suit forfeit for those not dressing up, like if you don't dress up you'll get pinned down and have your clothes ripped off and burnt. mwa ha haa.
