There was already a band called Empire, from England back in the 80's. They were really good. Former members of Generation X. Sounded like Joy Division with more balls.
don't worry though, no one remembers them.

They were a huge influence DC hardcore, especially Embrace.

our ridiculous and full name is actually "empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate)".
we are definitely not punk haha. our name has quite a few words in common with other bands.
empire state games was a sweet band too.

If there was ever such a word to make me smile, it's twinklemo. I'd love to see this band. I literally got the 7" in the post TODAY. I've listened to the last.fm tracks and like them a whole load. Haven't had a chance to listen to teh 7" yet though. Hopefully this will be sorted!
