You have a higher probability of dying from getting hit on the head by a falling coconut, or eaten by a shark, than you do of being in a plane crash. Those things seriously never go down. When is the last time you heard a commercial airliner crashed?
Driving is over 2,000 times more dangerous (chances of being in car crash = 1 in 5,000; chances of being in plane crash = 1 in 11 million)
I only get 3 more paydays before Fest, including the Friday of Fest, and I've only got $114 saved up so far. I'll probably set aside at least maybe $500 from the Paycheck that I'll get on the 31st so I guess that's actually $614 which isn't too bad
Seriously though flying is fun and super safe

Dunno man. I never ever take sleeping pills, which I'm hoping means I have little to no resistance to them so hopefully they'll knock me out like a light.
I was told to get the strongest on the market that you can get over the counter, take a couple half an hour before you board and get countin those sheep.
Bet it don't work tho, i'll be thousands of feet up in a tin can having an anxiety attack watching Don't Mess With the Zohan or some shit while eatin badly processed baby food for my evening 'meal'.
Like I said before, they had better have enough beer...And a hot stewardess wouldn't hurt.

yeah i know flying is safer than driving, i just don't like being up in the air that high, at that speed.
worst part is taking off and landing.
i don't think it's natural for people to be up in the air like that.

Let me just say that flying is scarier than skydiving, in my book. And I've been skydiving twice.
Now don't you feel better?

that's an insane statement, if flying wasn't meant to be it wouldn't happen, I constantly have terrible thoughts while riding planes, but always make it, seriously if the pilot somehow fucks up my two hour flight I'll kill him!

You'll make it fine. I just flew to Austin this weekend and had horrible thoughts at every hint of turbulence.
But, I have never had a single dying thought when skydiving.

I went to go buy my ticket but somehow didn't have enough in my account. I blame jeremy. So I still have to get that haha. I've got my place to stay covered. Just not entirely sure how I'm getting to that place to stay. I was talking to one kid about going down with him from CT. But I forgot who he was, my bad. I'm terrible at planning, but I always get there every year. Worse comes to worse I'll just hellhound it.

From an engineering standpoint I'd choose the parachute over the plane.
Many less moving parts, less complicated inspection process, and far less people in the line to fuck something up. I'd feel more confident knowing a parachute won't fail. I'm sure the above is all total bullshit but it all depends on how you analyze it. Death toll, incident numbers, rate of equipment failure would help.
but this is all stupid to even ramble about. the biggest factor is the "will it make me shit in my pants" variable. That is purely subjective.

Flying to the US is awesome fun. 7+ hours of doing fuck all. I used to be scared of flying, didn't fly for about 3/4 years, went to NY last year to see ASOB and was fine. Weird.
