Well, I thought that my lack of preparedness last year was merely a result of me being a Fest Virgin, but apparently I'm just a horrid procrastinator.
I can't believe there's only a month left to go. It seems like when I first started posting on this board Fest was more of an abstract concept than a date, and now, here it is, looming on my calendar.
I'm excited, to be sure, but now I'm realizing that I should start really getting my shit together, because it's not long at all, now.

room's booked, homebrew batch is ready, beard's going on 4 weeks, got 2 guys paying me for roadtrip gas...
all I need now is more food/beer money, a ridiculously embarrassing halloween costume, and some adderall. I think that'll get me set!

i still have yet to book my travel to the airport here, or from the airport over there.. this worries me. on the plus side, i'm planning to score some more 'dorrah' today, i just hope the exchange rate hasn't tanked completely.
but yeah, how did this thing sneak up so quick all of a sudden? i'm excited but still impatient.

I'm sorted. Flights, transfers, a roof for a week, Fest ticket, beard, beer resistance training....and so on.
All's left is a bit more spending money and i'll be sorted.
Oh..and I've got a fear of flyin to conquer. Don't suppose I can do much about that till I get on the flying death machine. They had better be stocked up on booze!

hey man, i'm terrified of flying too, one of my coworkers suggested popping an ambien or a luminex about a half hour before the flight...said it'll knock you out so you miss the take-off and most of the flight. i'm trying to snag a few pills for my flight to china.
not sure if you ahve that stuff over there, i will also be checking out some sleeping pills

Yeah dude, its the pits!
I'm thinking some strong sleeping pills just before I board, a beer or 3 and I should be blissfully unconcious for as long a time as possible.
Course the connecting flight is just gonna be a 2hr fear-a-thon.
China dude. Harsh.
It'll be worth it when you get there.
.........if you're not dead that is.
The flight home is gonna be the worst though. Risking my life in a plane just to get back to work.
Fucking grim.

Ambien is fucked up, that shit don't front, for reals.
I'm staying at Thunder Siege, so I need to get a tent. I think we've decided on taking my friend's car, so we've gotta give it an oil change and all that jazz. And once I finally get paid for the job I've been at for three weeks, I'm buying my ticket straight away.
So, essentially, I'm totally unprepared.
