well mike, you can forget me giving you a ride on my handlebars then. I've never viewed my bike as "hip" or "trendy," it's how I get from point A to point B. Whatever. It was $15 at a thrift store. I wish I didn't get the feeling that people are going to throw rocks at me just because of my bike. Shit's ridiculous.

Likewise, if I find out anyone in Gville is giving my 17yr old niece and her boyfriend shit because they ride fixed gear bikes... you'll have me to deal with. She is like a daughter to me.

as long as neither of the parties in question are listening to dance music trying to convince me that drum line versions of "Sucking on my Titty" by Peaches are the new hip.

Funny, she loves that song, as I do. But "drum line versions"??? Unsure what you mean. Is that some techno reference.

Trend hopping is pretty common for a 17yr old suburbanite. But I guarantee she also listens to some bands you've never heard of. Heavy shit. She surprises me all the time w/her taste in music. I've taught her well

I can't believe a thread about a type of bicycle where one of the cogs is different to 'regular' bikes has generated so much shit talk.
Jeez guys, lighten up.
