I've definitely had instances on the road where you'll get to shower 4 times in 5 weeks. I always buy a package of brand new socks though, no matter how dirty you are, if you can put on a brand new pair of socks everyday, you feel like a million bucks. i shower everyday, sometimes twices even twice a day... yet i'll wear my socks for a couple of days on end (i dont have foot odor problems).
same here.
for a while though I hated washing socks, so I would just try to get as much wear out of each pair as I could, then I'd buy a new bag. My new sock habit probably averaged out to about 20 or 30 cents a day.

No offense Trevor, you aren't one of those people we are discussing then .
We are talking about kids that don't work and claim to "live on the streets", but in reality live off Mommy and Daddy's credit card.

Ha! My experience with this over the years is that part of the people that live this lifestyle are trust fund babies looking like they are living the hard life... while actually living off an ATM card. And those kids have a computer at home too.
the punk equivalent of trustifarians, eh.

Last year my buddy was trying to buy some blow and these crusties advised him not to go with this one guy, as they judged him untrustworthy. Turns out they were right, as the dude ran off with the cash and my buddy was left looking like a moron (specifically, looking like the kind of moron who gives the dealer the money before he sees the product)
But then my other friend was just shooting the shit with some of 'em, and they got all pissed off at him for living in his mom's basement.
The one thing that I consistently enjoy about crusties is that they bring dogs with 'em, like they're fucking gypsies or something. I just like dogs.

it always cracks me up when crusties bang on about destroying the government and whatnot while living off the dole. Did they not put two-and-two together and figure 'oh wait, if society collapses, then I wont get free money anymore to buy shitty beer and not shower' - at least when they do the full-on 'living in the woods, back to nature, eco-shack' thing then they're really immune to the desruction of capitalism, but it seems that mooching on housing benefit and job seekers allowance for the sake of it makes you the most dependent of all on 'the system'.
"While we’re at it, there are systems for a reason in this world. Economic stability, interest rates, growth. It’s not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright? It’s only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you’re not lying in your own shit, dying at 43 with rotten teeth. And a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on... fuck off. "
