The New Drop Era is an incredible album, it's raw and rough but also really carefully structured. I've seen Young Livers described elsewhere as thrash at a rock tempo. For fans of stuff like Glass and Ashes and Planes Mistaken for Stars. This is the only Scottish date on their tour.
Getting Triple School for this gig is a bit of a coup, because Giles will actually be living in Londonshire by this time. Take advantage. The Cost of Living are definitely fans of the likes of Lifetime and Discount and apparently enjoy serving up the singalongs. Hey Vampires are a relatively new local 3 piece, and will appeal to those who enjoy stuff like These Arms Are Snakes and perhaps even Q and Not U.

I think I have them staying at my house after the London gig. I'll do my best not to kill them through cider overdose!

They're staying at ours too, necessarily. I'm hoping for the same level of party we achieved with Glass and Ashes.

Hurrah! This gig should be grand, you'll be impressed by both the locals, too. Hey Vampires are pretty new so I haven't seen them yet but the stuff I've heard is really good, and Triple School make a ridiculous racket for just two guys - one of which is Giles ex of Dananananaykroyd and currently of That Fucking Tank, basically one of the best front men around, in my humble. Plus they have a song called I'm In Slayer, you can't really go wrong.

Gonna do my damndest to get to this. It's only a subway ride away, I don't have the usual excuse of distance!

Good news, Timmy. Kelly, Lee, Alex, et al, make the effort.

See you Friday
