That's right, after all this time Wendy and I are going to be ready for this Friday's Art Walk and Grand Opening for the Story House.
For those of you that had the chance to see the condition before and what it looks like now, you would be amazed. The place is just what we wanted as a space for community art. The parking is ample the location is perfect, (right in the SODO district (South Downtown district), and the building is PERFECT. It is so raw , oozing with charm and character. It is the kind of space that makes you feel at home and creative as well.
Our goal is to give the community a spot that they can bring their children for a creative outlet. We anticipate Yoga instruction, darkroom lab, silk screening, community gardens and performance art.
We are also offering up our space for your events as well. (ie.art exhibition, instruction and also Flea Market spaces).
We are so thankful for the people that threw their sweat and energy into helping out. Thank you Gaetano, Tom-Tom, Filbert, Enzo and especially, my buddy Mr Miller for his landscape expertise.

Like I really wasn't going to go on and on...
While you bask in the splendor of The Story House, you might want to think about strolling over to George''s Meet and Produce for the Nude Art Exhibition featuring, the likes of Lennie Kesl, Sanna Saari, Wendy Michel, and of course, me and my crazy lighting... you are going to have a blast. Hope to see you there and there and Oh, by the way, we are ALSO having our 1st SODO (south downtown)Community Flea Market on Sunday the 28th from 8-2 p.m.
On that note we are also looking for vendors, (rent a booth for $5.) just give me a call and I will set it up.
Lemonade stand and cookies will be available the the Flea Market.
