Do you think we can get Fest moved to Jacksonville at this short notice!?

No mate, going on holiday to watch punk rock, party and get drunk which is pretty much all I do at home so I'm not sure what my point is!
Strongbow is just the obvious choice, I'm happy to drink local cider if there is any?

availability of cider is NOT enough to make Jacksonville a decent place for Fest. Venues are too far apart, and too shitty.
while at shows in FL, just drink beer. If you gotta have something sweet and alcoholic, I think most venues sell Sparks, mix with equal parts PBR, and then you've got Orangeciderade.
Cider is definitely available at liquor stores, and even most grocery stores.

To be fair I don't think I've been anywhere in the world better than Gainesville to hold Fest so I wasn't serious about moving it...even for cider!
I just got a message from Common Grounds confirming they still sell Strongbow too so all is good!
As for sweet and alcoholic, Strongbow is as sweet as I can go and it's not really that sweet. I'm usually a Scrumpy Jack drinker but it's more expensive and less readily available but it sure does get you pissed!
I'll just drink spirits if I have too, beer makes me sick these days and gives me a bad enough hangover to miss a whole day of Fest so fuck that!

Sparks is supposed to release a Sparks Red at the beginning of October, it has more alcohol in it although apparently people are trying to stop it's release as it's not all that safe to drink

sometimes I get bummed that I can't find Sugar-Free Sparks anymore, but then I remember that it was gross anyway, and I just have a Red Bull in between beers.

finally! a crucial thread to read!
even though not being old enough to drink legally is gonna be a problem to kick off, lack of cider may tip me over the edge!

Yesss cider thread. I hope there's cider 'cause lager makes me bloated to the point where I look pregnant. Makes me tired too for some reason. I had some horrible cider fairly recently, it was Westons Organic First Quality I think. It was flat and room-temperature and tasted like a fart that had been compressed to a liquid. I told the bar man and he didn't appreciate it

Not all Westons cider is bad but mate, come on, it had organic in the title, did alarm bells not start ringing at that point!? Organic cider is posh mans terms for apples that have been stewing in a bath tub until the enamel started peeling off the sides. Probably got you pissed though right?

I'm with the cider crew here. Last year I drank way too much beer and it just made me feel...full. I recall seeing Timmy with some woodchuck I think, but didn't realize it was from Mothers! This info has made me pleased.

Half of me wants to condemn the British trait of imposing our alcoholic aesthetic onto others.
The other half is too busy nodding frantically in agreement with this thread to care.

Yeah they had none on the first night I went there so I told them I was gutted and by the second day they got a load of Woodchuck in but it was the sweet stuff which is pretty hard to drink in any real quantity. OK if you're just having a swift pint though and nice of them to get it in. I think between us we drank their supply by the time we went home so they weren't stuck with it!
