Here are some answers to some reoccurring questions. Hopefully this will help. I'll add more as they are needed.
How long does it take to get the confirmation e-mail?
Should be fairly instant.
I never got a confirmation email. Should I be worried?
Maybe. Check your Junk/Spam folders. If you placed a ticket or hotel order and did not receive a confirmation email please email peej@noidearecords.com to make sure your order was processed.
Will tickets sell out?
Probably. We have to cut off ticket sales because of venue capacity issues. If you really want to come to the Fest buy your ticket(s) now!
What the hell happened to the Holiday Inn option? Is it booked up already?!
I am sorry to say that it is. It got booked up very quickly this year. There is a possibility that another block of rooms could open up in a few weeks. But for now, the Holiday Inn is completely booked.
I have to use someone else's credit card to order tickets. Can I do that? Will the tickets still be in my name?
Yes. The "Name on Card" field is only used to process the credit card. The ticket(s) will be under the name specified at the top of the order.
I want to buy tickets for me and some other friends. We might not show up to registration all at the same time. What do I do?
Put their names in the comments of the order. The tickets will be able to be picked up by them or the person that originally purchased the tickets. If there is just one name on the order and multiple tickets only that person will be able to pick them up.
If you book a room on the Ticket/Hotels page, does it charge your card for all four nights right away?
Yes. Because of the deal worked out with the hotels we have to charge your card for the rooms in advance.
Can I pay with Paypal?
Yep. Send all the info requested by the ticket order form (excluding credit card info) to peej@noidearecords.com
Is the ticket ordering page secure?
Yes.
I need to cancel my hotel reservation!
All hotel cancelations must be made by Thursday October 1st, 2008 to recieve a refund.
Please call 352-379-9099 and ask for Cam.
For all other Fest related question please check out the Fest FAQ http://thefestfl.com/fest7/faq/

Holy shit...it's already booked? That's fucking insane...exactly how many rooms were available in the first place?
I guess a good chunk probably went to bands though too.

Anything that says Visa on it should be fine. Give it a try and if doesn't work we'll figure something else out.

Any idea how likely these rooms are gonna be available? I'm coming from the UK with a few friends and we definitely 100% want to stay at the Holiday Inn if possible, but I don't wanna hold out for a room if one doesn't come up and then end up being fucked cause we left it too late.
... Christ, I'm too paranoid sometimes.

You will know when we know. If we do get another block of rooms they will get sold very quickly so be sure to check the site often.

straight from the FAQ:
How can I volunteer for THE Fest 7 to get a free pass?
If you live in the Gainesville area and want to help out and be a part of THE Fest 7 here is your chance. THE Fest 7 is looking for kick ass, friendly, and serious volunteers. Volunteers are always needed the weekend of the Fest. We offer a free pass to anyone who works a shift the weekend of. You will also get a Fest 7 shirt that no one else can buy. A shift runs about 6 hours and is anything from working registration, the door, helping bands load equipment, to being a rock star stage manager.
Volunteer signup meetings will be held at:
Wayward Council:
807 W University Avenue
Gainesville, FL 32601
352-335-0800
MEETINGS ARE ON:
Wednesday, Oct 8
Thursday, Oct 9 th
Wednesday, Oct 15th
Thursday, Oct 16th
ALL MEETINGS ARE AT 8PM SHARP!!!
These signups are first come first serve. So get out to the first one to snag the best shifts. We also ask for volunteers that can help in flyering for the Fest and help promote THE Fest 7 in other ways.
There is also a mandatory work meeting on Wednesday Oct 29th for all volunteers and Fest 7 staff.

Okay so my friends are convinced tickets never sell out.
Theres about 20 of us or so driving from Michigan.
So if we get there the Thursday before and buy tickets we won't get in?
We have to pre-order them with a credit card and then pick them up where?
Sorry for being a n00b, but I don't want to drive 20 hours to find out I can't get in.

Your friends are wrong. We have stopped selling tickets for the past several years. Tickets haven't been available the weekend of for quite some time.
Read the website. All the info on tickets/registration is up there.
You need to buy your tickets in advance.

there a few other hotels to call up in gainesville, just search some sort of travel site.
i'm sure other people will be kind enough to look some up for you, but i am exhausted from softball.
one hotel i know to stay away from is the "gainesville lodge", it has a history of NOT being friendly to festers
