Palin Unveils 9/11 Firefighter Cousin, Reformed Lesbian Niece, Naturalized Mexican Half Brother
Less than two weeks after introducing to the nation her developmentally disabled newborn and her 19-year-old son preparing for military service in Iraq, Republican vice presidential nominee and conservative Christian woman Sarah Palin delivered a speech Monday flanked by three heretofore-unknown relatives, including a naturalized Mexican half brother, a formerly lesbian niece, and a New York City firefighter cousin who saved several lives during the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. "John McCain and I will take on the Washington establishment and give the government back to the people," said Palin, who several times gave the "thumbs-up" sign to her African-American coal-miner uncle seated in the audience. "We envision a better and brighter future for hardworking, selfless Americans like Ted, Anne, and Guillermo here." Palin has a campaign stop scheduled next week in Texas, where she is expected to introduce her stepsister Linda, a $35 barrel of offshore-drilled crude oil wrapped in an American flag.

well so far for starters the poll is at 100 percent, also, anyone that has ever been to the Fest never wants to miss it again, so people would find ways to get there and find ways to make it happen, did I really have to prove it rhetorical for you?

so you're asking me to prove to you that I want you to prove it to me that it's rhetorical?

Here is a perfect example of what the economy is doing to the underground punk/metal scene. Baroness just posted this:
Please welcome our new guitarist Peter Adams to Baroness. He is a long time friend of the band and we are very excited to have him on our side. Peter is quite the talent. An all around great musician. He also plays in the VA band Valkyrie.
Brian played his last show with us at HOVE festival in Norway, which was a great last performance. He has decided to go back to school and pursue a career in law. We are very happy for him and know he will be very successful in his future endeavors. As a band member and brother, I will dearly miss having him on tour. Love you brother.
A lawyer, he is going back to school to be a lawyer! I'll miss not seeing brian with Baroness. Blows my mind.

I don't think I follow. Where's the economic cause in that?

Well, it would seem like he isn't making enough money playing in a band, so he's going back to school to be a lawyer. I'm sure there are other reasons and it isn't that clear cut. It was the irony of it mostly that got me. Any musician I know would kill to be in his shoes and he chose to not have the lifestyle of a free roaming rock star. Bums me out to a degree. The economy is really hard on art and music right now.

Just thought I'd add this quote after reading an email I received from the Nader campaign today:
"Capitalism will always survive in the United States as long as the government is willing to use socialism to bail it out."
