Man, I can never remember well enough back to the end of the year to make those top 10 lists everybody loves, so I'm gonna go ahead and do a mini-list of my favorite records so far this year:

*The Ergs - Upstairs/Downstairs LP (Dirtnap)
*Ringers - Detention Halls LP (1-2-3-4Go!) (and their Art of the Underground 7" gets an honorable mention)
*Potboiler - Art of the Underground 7" (Art of the Underground)
*Ted Leo/Pharmacists - Living With the Living LP (Touch & Go)
*Hunchback/Trashies - Split 7" (Freedom School)

I'm pretty sure that's mostly what I give a shit about so far this year.

uh, Jay, aren't you forgetting something?

The Roadside Graves - No One Will Know Where You've Been

or are you talking strictly vinyl here?

Brokedowns CD on Thick. Fully blown away despite my somewhat lackluster review in MRR.

Gaslight Anthem CD too.

and of course Ringers "Detention Halls" but I put it out so I obviously like it.

Lauren, as much as I love seeing the Graves live, I really don't listen to them all that much on record, so I haven't even gotten around to picking up the new one, although I'm sure I'll get around to it.

Good call on the Gaslight record, dude, although I've got to say it pales in comparison to their live show...something about the record feels maybe a little overproduced, I dunno...? I'm not gonna gripe though cause I love those dudes and every one of those songs is great.
