I fully intend on bringing my kilt if that helps any?
From past experience, kilts + college towns = more attention from the opposite sex than I really merit.
Side note: 'Mon the Scots this weekend! Stuff those manky Macedonians!

haggis is the only currency used in bagpipe sales. 1 live haggis will get you 1 set of bagpipes. there was a man who lived down my street who had bagpipes and when he was practising in his house you couldn't escape the sound if you were within a mile radius.

I just booked a room, $170 a night was not friendly. Said it was the last room at $75 a night but who knows.

Well, looks like my decision to put off booking a hotel until pay day has backfired on me. So if anyone's got any floor space here, gimme a shout and i'll chip in my share. I'm a nice (if perenially broke) guy, I promise!
Failing that- anyone else looking at the nearby Days Inn now this place is full?

Fuck you all and you're microwaves in every room...I'm staying at the Days Inn again! It's way cheaper, closer to Fest and has a Subway next door and Dominos right across the street. Bollocks to the lot of you and your big wallets!

I have room in my room at The Comfort Inn. Want to help me split the costs? Let me know.

Slazey, do we know you? Sarah and I put on gigs under the name This Is Our Battlefield with some friends. www.tiob.co.uk - in fact we have Young Livers from GNV itself playing next month.
Also, just home from Macedonia and Iceland (and Germany and Serbia en route), totally shattered but right in the mood for more travelling! After a small spot of recovery.

This has nothing to do with this thread but seeing as I have the right audience, can you or do you know someone that will put up Strike Anywhere after their Glasgow show? Think there's 7 in total inc. driver and merch girl. If anyone can help then please pm me.

Isn't that a CPL gig? I'd help if it was a DIY gig, but no chance if it's a professional gig, they should be doing that themselves.

It's Glasgow, all music fans know one another! I'll be checking that gig out if I get the evening free, for sure. Sounds like a good idea.
Nice work on the travelling support. Bring on Norway!
Edited for a P.S.- blagged some floor space in the comfort inn, yaldie! Should be seeing some of you there.

Well I've been told they were doing this tour DIY but I really haven't looked into it. A friend of mine is doing merch for the tour and she sent a message out asking for floor space for various dates so I was just trying to help her out really. Not sure why accommodation is her responsibility anyway!

Well, it's in the Cathouse, which usually means it's a CPL gig, although not always - but usually if it's not it's someone like PCL or DFC, both of which are also professional promoters. I suppose it could be someone DIY but it definitely isn't anyone I know, and if it is they've gone for a very big and not particularly DIY-friendly venue.
