there's a Fest preshow going on in Orlando on Thursday the 30th with Polar Bear Club, Shook Ones, In Defence, Ramming Speed, and No Harm Done at Blackbox Collective too.

Polar Bear Club is playing with Crime In Stereo and The Swellers in Tallahassee that night

supposedly that show fell through because PBC contacted the person putting on the Orlando show with Shook Ones and asked if they could play.

the basement house is at 803 E. James St. Tampa, FL 33603

there should be a flyer up soon! my good buddy chewie is working on it!!

it's about 10-15 minutes away from Transitions Art Gallery(where both real shows are at!)

we will be starting the house show EARLY and bands will have'ta play short sets/share equipment... because everything has to be done in time for me to lock up and get to the Pre-Fest show on time!!!(last year off with their heads played SECOND!... so i'm not gonna miss a second of Pre-Fest)

also, we'll be cooking out... but we don't have much veggie stuff(sorry ya'll)... but feel free to bring whatever you want because i'll have a second grill set up just for you hippies!!! ;)

the basement is totally awesome. it sounds great in there. the shows there are good times for sure. i mean come on, it's a basement, IN FLORIDA!

however, it's quite possibly the worst load-in/ load-out for bands EVER! good thing you dudes are sharing equipment and only have to load in once.

I missed Tampa last year. I'm completely satisfied that I won't be making the same mistake again this year.

And water, mostly.

I went to some basement house shows in Tampa in the 90s and it blew my mind. Wonder if it is the same house??? This one was at my friend Jack's parents' place. But yeah, I grew up in Tampa and didn't see a basement there in 20 years. I had no idea FL had them.
