adams rib is bomb for pulled pork, brisket. so tasty...they're on 13th...by the taco bell, blockbuster.
if you want ribs, hit davids' bbq. they're on the way northwest part of town, but worth the drive - especially if you dont' have alot going on for an hour or so.
also a new place called chunky t's, they have it at common grounds sometimes...they have a mustard-y bbq sauce and it's really good. i've been there twice. very good stuff too - never had the ribs though. def in a sketchy part of town. i only go when i'm packin heat.

So I take it I can't be at the very top of the food chain while I'm in Florida.

Alligator is delicious. Gator's Dockside use to have it, but I don't think they do any more. They served it over a palm heart salad. YUM.
I think you can still get it somewhere in Gainesville, tho.

alligator is one of those animals where if you can't kill it yourself, you have no business eating it.

I just meant that of course someone from Wisconsin wants to eat an alligator, it's part of your cheesehead M.O.

RE: gator meat
They sell some (raw) at wards. Last time i went to gator dockside they had gator tail po' boys. i tried it, it was pretty good. but i haven't been there in a while so it's possible they don't anymore.
there has to be more places in gator country that sell gator meat.....

Give me a knife, a fork, and enough beer to get me and the alligator good and drunk, and we'll see if I can earn my keep.
