Out of the foreign bands going over this year, (Leatherface aside, cuz duhh - it's Leatherface) who are you guy's most looking forward to seeing? What about last year, or any other year for that matter? Should there be more/less overseas bands at Fest do you think?
I was just wondering how much of a draw the long-distance bands are against the native ones..

You, Me, and the Atom Bomb has become a staple of my Fest experience the past 2 years.
This year I'm really looking forward to finally seeing Chillerton, going to try and catch Ok Pilot. also looking forward to The Cost of Living at the Tampa pre-fest.
I'm still keeping my hopes up that Deny Everything is a last minute edition. I can't see how they wouldn't be a huge draw, their "Fire This Time" LP was so fucking good.
bring on more overseas bands though, I wish The Lockout or The Steal was playing

I'm interested in good bands from anywhere, but I'm not really familiar with many international bands.
Last year I saw Four Letter Word and Dauntless Elite and both were great.

Deny Everything posted on my myspace the day the Fest poster appeared saying ' looks like we won't be at Fest' with a link to the poster. I'm not sure if that meant they had been officially told no or just assumed that they weren't playing as they weren't listed but I know they applied to play and I think it would be almost criminal to reject them!

I would be really surprised if they got denied, their an incredible band that I think would draw a ton of people. Fire This Time is probably one of my favorite records.
I love their "sounds like" on myspace too: Shook Ones might call any minute to tell us Kid Dynamite need all those riffs back they borrowed from GB and Minor Threat.

haha, thats great:) I really hope i get to see Gordon Gano's Army. I saw 'em with Lemuria in London last year but i was distracted with rage from flicking through a local zine to see they hadn't reviewed my last issue yet again, fucking hippies. *ahem*
i dont know why this thread was moved from general discussion. it clearly says 'talk about the bands', and this isn't a rant thread (apart from my outburst just then). Ho-hum, Thought Police strike again.
