Like really good taco stand joints???
sit down patio resteraunts ???
there are two types of burritos in so. cali and central cali.
asada/ rice/beans/pico de galo
or
asada/ guacamole/ sour cream /pico de galo
this will be my first time here
and it's always a safe bet with mexican food for me !!!!
can you tell it's my fav???

As for REAL Mexican, some people say "The only real authentic mexican food in town." is:
La Tienda Latina
2204 SW 13th St
Gainesville, FL 32608
(352) 367-0022
Nothing but Mexicans working there. Mostly Mexicans eating there too. So that's a good sign. There is even a grocery in the same building. Nice patio to eat on and great food. Last time I ate there I watched a van pick up and drop off load after load of migrant workers. It was surreal.

I used to live two blocks from this place. It seriously is the jam as far as Mexican goes.

La Tienda is definitely the best but closer to the venues and also a little bit cheaper is El Indio.

There is a mariachi band on Weds nights at Las Margaritas. (and the food is pretty decent)

It was called El Nortino actually. I don't know if we're talking about the same place now. It's got a guy with a cowboy hat. On the right of a hotel who's name escapes me. I think they had more then one location though.

Oh come on now, I did live in Gville for around 12 years and I never heard of it. I've been to Los Margaritas, El Toro, Burrito Brothers and El Indio. But not El Nortino.
