we'll be there, but we didn't make the cut to play...
we're touring down and looking for house shows during the time of the Fest. and figuring on, if nothing else, hanging out with our friends and drinking too much...

I'm sorry, I love Jawbreaker to death. But that band is terrible. And I like piano music.

Oh man, I LOVE THAT BAND. Saw them in Jax in the 90s. Have photos somewhere. Bought a ton of merch too. I remember they were looking at me like "wtf are you going to do w/all that?" I still have 2 unopened LPs in limited edition orange from that show. I think there were only 200 pressed. And I only buy stuff like that if I really like the band.

Gotta say i'm with Gato and Sawtooth on this one. Being a massive Jawbreaker geek it sorta comes with the territory. Saw em a couple o'times when they came over, they played a show at the Library in Leeds
(pub name not book lenders) which was just amazing. Orange rhyming dictionary still gets played most weeks in my house.

i think the only decent jawbreaker release is dear you. other ones have some good jams, but could use a much better production.

Surely 24hr Revenge Therapy makes the cut as a 'decent' release!!
I kinda like the roughness of the earlier stuff but on the whole I think Dear You is such a perfect package, it is prob my top Jawbreaker album.
I proper liked the gruff/scratchy voice that Blake had just prior to his surgery also, Kiss the Bottle sounds all the better for it.

Mr. sawtoofs remarks about production lead me to believe that was the first Jawbreaker release he listened to. How the hell can you say you are a fan and not love their debut, Unfun? That and Bivouac are my favs.
I agree about Blake's voice, I saw Jawbreaker just after his surgery and it was moving to see them because of it. I got teary eyed like a sap.
