The Ergs are breaking up. Such a bummer. They are still playing the Fest 7 but will call it quits in November.

This also means there will be a lot more people trying to see them at the Fest

total bummer. I had heard some rumours.

Now I don't know if it would be worth it to try to book them in Ocala before/after The Fest.

well if they weren't before The Ergs are now on my list of can't miss bands. I hope they play at a huge venue because Common Grounds will fill up WAY to fast for them

But seriously, one of the best live bands out there and a damn fine band on the record, period. Everyone make sure to see them at the Fest and if they play on the way down/back. I'm depressed.

i dont know if i'll go see them cuz of this, they are alright but dont really excite me.. but if there's no clash i'll check 'em out.

ok. well, it looks like you guys knew us better than we knew us. the ergs are calling it a day. jeff is leaving the band and it wouldn't be the ergs without him. we'll be recording the last couple songs that we've been working on and releasing them on a 7" this fall. we have a bunch of really great shows coming up with some really great bands that we never thought we'd get to play with. our last show will be in new jersey in mid november. more info on that as it becomes finalized. thanks to everyone who listened to us, came to see us, or helped us out in any way. we've made a ton of great friends and played some of the best shows a band could ever want to play.

I'll have you know that I did in fact stand in a couple lines last year. Why?

Because I felt like a COMPLETE ASSHOLE passing up friends who had been in the same line for an hour or more.

I had been hanging out with Josh Small much of the day and we went over to CGs and there was a line wrapped around the damn block. I saw people in line I had said "hi" to at least an hour prior and I found it just outright rude to walk past them and go inside. Plus, I'd leave Josh in line by himself and that's just lame.

I stood in that line nearly 2 hours because they had reached max capacity and it had become a situation where when one left, then one entered.

I met some pretty awesome people while in line though, and we had a great time talking.

So yeah, I'm not the asshole many may think I am.
