Last november, I told myself that The Fest would motivate me to see more shows throughout the year....

but sometimes, it just depresses me that it's not The Fest at every show.

I know this pain all too well. I recently tried to give a dude a fist pound at an American Steel show and he looked at me like I was pissing spiders or something.

nobody's ever given me a fist pound at a show before.
I want a bunch of fist pounds and high fives at the Fest.

Last year, arriving at my first Fest late after airport issues, my friend told me that he was at the Venue late Tursday night. I went there, paid the cover as the door people looked at me weird, then I looked around and figured he told me the wrong place. It was basically a big dance floor with some meatmarket-types about.

Fortunately, the door people gave me my money back. Needless to say, it was a much different scene.
